Stallions and Stallion Reports

All Canadian Pinto stallions must be inspected at 2 years of age by either a Canadian Pinto Horse Association approved personal inspector or by a licensed veterinarian.  The inspections form and the original Certificate of Registration must then be forwarded to the Canadian Pinto Horse Association office.  A gold seal will be affixed to the lower left-hand corner of the Certificate of Registration and the Certificate returned to the owner.  The seal denotes the permanent registration of the stallion.  The stallion is then eligible for use as a breeding animal.

Each year which he is used as a breeding stallion, a Stallion Breeding Report must be filed with the Canadian Pinto Horse Association office prior to December 31 of that calendar year.   The Stallion Breeding Report must show the name and registration number of the stallion, the name, breed and registration number of each mare bred or exposed to the stallion.  A one-time fee and a "bred mare fee" must accompany the Stallion Breeding Report.
